The second greatest commandment of the Christian faith is to love our neighbors. But what, exactly, is love? What are its characteristics, what does it look like in action, and how can we love better?
Exploring these questions is particularly timely for us at St. Luke’s as we have new neighbors in St. Luke’s apartments and anticipate construction on our second building. When our redevelopment is complete, we will have 290 new apartment homes on our property. What will it truly mean for love to dwell here?
In the Easter season, we are starting a new adult formation offering to explore love through the lens of our faith, grow in our ability as individuals to love well, and discern how love might grow even deeper roots at St. Luke’s.
We will be reading the book Love Your Neighbor: How Psychology Can Enliven Faith and Transform Community.
The Book Group will begin on Sunday, April 19, at 11:30 am. All are welcome — come and explore what it means to love well together.
