Starting February 22 at 11:30am
Every year in the seasons of Lent and Easter people who are new to the Christian faith, to the Episcopal Church and St. Luke’s, Ballard have the opportunity to go on a journey together. Each week we explore the basics the Way of Jesus as some prepare for baptism. We consider how we might live out our Christian faith in our daily lives. Some are preparing for confirmation, to be received into the Episcopal Church from another denomination, or to reaffirm their faith after a time of deepening commitment.
This year we’ll be taking the pilgrimage a step forward – Ultreya! This word is used by Camino pilgrims to encourage those already on the road. It can mean “Onward!” or “Keep Going!” People who are new to the faith and the church are encouraged to take part. Those who never had a chance to participate in the Spiritual Pilgrimage may now do so. And those who have completed one pilgrimage are invited to go further and serve as “companions on the way!”
An informational gathering will be held on Sunday, February 22 after church at 11:30am with lunch provided. We will also make the gathering available on Zoom.
