St. Luke’s Episcopal Church

Sunday Worship

Sunday mornings at St. Luke’s are full of life. You’ll find a diverse group of people gathering together to pray and encounter God. We have a growing number of young families with children who can often be seen and heard during worship. We welcome the sights and sound of children! For those children and families that desire, we have childcare and programs for elementary-aged children to discover and grow in faith available outside the sanctuary during the first half of our service.

Our worship at St. Luke’s is liturgical, meaning it follows the order and pattern found in the prayer book of the Episcopal Church, The Book of Common Prayer. Our liturgy comes from ancient tradition, and we seek to make it relevant in our contemporary world.

During worship, you’ll hear readings from the Bible, a short sermon, and heartfelt prayers for our world written by a member of our community. Our service concludes every week with Holy Communion – the sharing of bread and wine in which we are assured of God’s presence in and with us.

Music at St. Luke’s is led by piano and typically a single musician. You’ll find a range of musical styles and diverse musical selections used during our worship.

If you plan to visit, let us know you are coming so we can greet you and answer any questions you might have beforehand.
