St. Luke’s Episcopal Church

Children

Our children are not just the future of the church – they are an integral part of the church today. You’ll find a number of young families at St. Luke’s. If you are visiting us with children, don’t worry about any noise they might make – we find their presence to be a joy! Our greeter will be delighted to help you connect with our children’s programs and get settled.

We offer several opportunities for children on Sunday mornings.

Childcare

Childcare provided by qualified staff and volunteers is available most Sundays. Children are cared for in our nursery during the first half of our worship service and then come to the sanctuary to share communion with our community.

Children’s Formation

Elementary-aged children enjoy their own time and space of learning, conversation, and activities that build a foundation of faith during the first half of our worship service. Our children’s formation program is led by our priests and a team of qualified volunteers.

Children’s Corner

We have a corner of our sanctuary devoted to our children with books, toys, and games that help them feel at home at church. When children in childcare and children’s formation join worship for communion, our childcare providers stay with and engage children in the children’s corner so parents can be more fully present in worship.
