We've Come This Far By

Faith

2027 Gratitude and Giving Campaign

We’ve come this far by faith,
Leaning on the Lord.
Trusting in God’s holy word.
God’s never failed us yet.
Oh, oh – oh- can’t turn around,
We’ve come this far by faith.

That text comes from a spiritual written by Albert Goodson in 1956 and is an apt description of life here at St. Luke’s. Our path has at times been uncertain and wandering, like that of the Israelite’s 40 years wandering in the wilderness. God provided for them, just as God is providing for us in this present moment.

Each fall, we review our finances and make plans for the coming year. Our annual Gratitude and Giving Campaign – beginning on Sunday, October 25 – is a key part of that process. If you have been touched by the ministry of St. Luke’s and believe in our mission to feed people in body, mind, and spirit with the love of God, in the name of Jesus, and by the power of the Holy Spirit, you’re invited to complete an Estimate of Giving card or submit your estimate online using the link below. Your contribution supports St. Luke’s general fund and day-to-day operations, and your estimate of giving allows us to plan ahead for expenses like salaries, building upkeep, and the wonderful ministries and programs the church offers.

Prayerfully consider what you can give to support the overall work of our congregation in 2027. If you gave previously, thank you, and we invite you to take one step up in your giving this coming year to meet the opportunities and challenges ahead. This year’s benchmarks may be a helpful guide: the median annual commitment is $2,400, and the average annual commitment is $4,510.
