St. Luke’s Episcopal Church

About

St. Luke’s is a church that practices what it preaches. We take seriously our faith in Jesus and look for ways to become actively involved in serving our community. We welcome all regardless of religious background, socioeconomic status, race, gender, or sexual identity.

We have been a part of the Ballard community for over 130 years. Through the years we have experienced cycles of growth and decline; Ballard has changed; our city, nation, and world have seen crisis and struggle. One thing has stayed true: our faith has been our foundation leading us to actively engage in the struggles of life.

Today, our mission is to feed people in body, mind, and spirit. We practice and grow in our faith through Prayer, Worship, and Learning. We live our faith through service to our neighbors and engagement with our neighborhood. Since 1986, St. Luke’s has provided free, hot, hearty meals every Monday-Friday to anyone in need in Ballard through Edible Hope Kitchen.
