Feast of St. Francis and Blessing of the Animals, October 2 at 11:30 am
In love of all creation and our friends, the animals, St. Francis modelled the blessing of animals.
We will join this annual tradition with a short service to both bless those animals in our care, to
remember those animals we have lost and to pray for all animals who are at risk or suffering.
You can bring your dog, cat, bird, ferret, pig, or any other animal companion for the blessing in
our courtyard at 11:30. You may also bring a photo of an animal who cannot attend in person
or one who has died. This is a good opportunity to invite friends or neighbors who would be
blessed by this special service.
